"We have chosen to stand by somewhat longer with updates as I actually suspect we have execution in the vehicle without them, which we need to get on the track. Once in a while we accomplish it, here and there we don't.
"We have a decent update bundle in around four or five races coming, so I'm sure about that. What different ones are bringing, as of right now I don't have the foggiest idea however I will know much more next Monday."
Steiner was irritated with his drivers after the Miami Grand Prix as Schumacher slammed into Sebastian Vettel, while Kevin Magnussen had a late-race occurrence with Lance Stroll.
The drivers were on course for top-10 completions at the hour of their mishaps.
"It was very frustrating in both qualifying and the race yet we really want to keep positive," Steiner said, having quieted down since.
"The up-sides are the vehicle is great. We simply have to get it at the right set-up, get the tires to work appropriately and the vehicle is not too far off.
"As you could see during the race in Miami, we made up positions until the Safety Car emerged and afterward we fell back.
"That is the very thing that you need to zero in on, remaining sure we have a decent machine and that we will make the focuses we need to make."
