The Mercedes 2022 Beast "W13" is now out !

Welcome back! In this post we are talking about the Mercedes 2022 beast which is called as "W13".

The wait for Mercedes fans of car reveal is now over. On February 18 Mercedes officially launched their 2022 Formula1 championship car Model.

Let's  talk about this Beast. As we know the Mercedes is one of the greatest team in Formula1 as old times, that's why everyone has higher expectations from Merecedes 2022 Championship car so it has to be perfect as per design, as per power, as per speed and also been seen as aspect of performance.                    

The Mercedes //AMG Formula1 car is not the best car in the world, you got shocked right wait a while I'll explain it. As we know the previous season's W12 is the best as it won the construction championship but as compared to W12 the new Mercedes AMG W13 is completely different in every aspect expect the stearing wheel and pedals part. It almost 97%-98% different from the previous Formula1 season. It can be the best but we can't find it till the seasons end. The reason the car is different from previous season is the rule book almost completely chamged. Admittedly its doubled than the the previous seasons. The main changes are focoused on the wheels. In previous season they were about 13 inches now they are about 18 inches which gives boost to the increade in ground level of the whole car. These tires are made in aspect of not getting overheatted as a low profile tire. 

Let me explain, if the size of the tires are increased whereas the time of each part touches the ground will be increased that means the firction of this tires are so less thereby they can run longer as compared to 13 inches tires. These tires gots bigger rims as the mercedes decided to fit the plastic disk between the wheels cause the budget for this season is slightly lower. Approximately $135,000,000 is $5,000,000 less as compared to previous season which is about $140,000,000.

Another component rule that has continued in this season is the power unit or it is said to be Engine unit. The power unit is the 1.6 liter V6 turbo hybrid which drive the rare wheel straight with single gearbox. The power the Engine produce is about a thousand horse power which means the car takes approx 2.5 seconds to get it ass up to 60 which is slightly slower as per a Formula1 car.

Let's go to the aerodynamics one of my personal favorite part. The aerodynamics ofcourse a key feature of a Formula1 car. The front wing of W13 is all new by it's style, as the previous season the car allowed upto five planes on it's front wing but this season the car only allowed four planes on the front wing. As the new rule book the wheel blades are allowed which are made by carbon fibre by the mercedes wasan't allowed before.

The another major change in aerodynamics is the rearwing so on the previous season the cars have a square shaped rare wing that gives out loads of downforce which carried out the excess airforce applied on a car. The new wings are designed to maintain the air channel so it may cause low turbulent as it result there are more overtakings and wheel to wheels rivalries . This rule book also allowed that has been banned in early 1980's ya! you got it right I'm talking about the ground effect as the bottom tunnel is now allowed which passes air more faster than that of the tunnel which is situated over the head of the driver which gives a car push as it works as an aerodynamic component.

Another change for this season is about the fuel. So as per the last season fuel is approximately 6% of Ethanol element is added but not this year, it increased to 10% so it effectively E10 fuel just like a bit higher quality fuel. The emergency feature is also given attention as per saftey aspect as it apply the fire extenguisher in the blast situations. Although the saftey of the this season's  cars is at it's peak. These beast will compete the firs race in Bharain Grand Prix.

As the another point rise that the cars are geting bigger, that's why  there are no chances for overtaking in shinked tracks like Monaco. The fans has been geting on it from longer, now it come on the view . The new 2022 Formula1 cars are compressed in size which give them tendency of moving drastically while overtaking.
